Bum finger

So I cut my finger about a month ago. It hurt pretty bad. It's a tiny cut, but the knife went to the bone. I didn't think I needed to go in to Urgent care, but then my finger kept locking and unlocking, so I went in. The doc told me it was trigger finger and to keep it in a splint for 4-6 weeks. Well, after 3 weeks my finger decided to lock for good. I have not been able to straighten it for a couple of weeks. I went to my doctor who said I did have trigger finger and needed to see an ortho surgeon. Well, I did just that yesterday expecting him to tell me I need the simple basic trigger finger release surgery. It turns out I kind of stumped him. We are not sure what has happened to my finger. Now, I am scheduled to have exploratory surgery on the 19th. It is supposed to be pretty extensive and I am nervous!! It is not guaranteed I will have full use of my finger back if I cut more than 50% of my tendon. I had no idea it was that bad, but do know my finger HURTS!!! It will be nice to see what we can do to fix it, but boy am I nervous! So after I have the surgery I will fill you all in on how it is...if you care!!
