Just waiting in line...with A LOT of teen girls!
This is just my review of what I thought about the movie...
All I can say is...Seriously? It was very amateur acting which included horrible directing, with bad special effects. You could definitely tell it was a low budget film. I loved the books and honestly expected the movie to be cheesy because lets be honest the books are a little cheesy too...although they suck you in pretty good! Everyone likes to read cheesy books right? Well I was pretty excited to see the movie, but I knew that it would be geared towards the teens. It did not help to have teen girls screaming every two minutes...literally. I am hoping the next one is a lot better. Better yet, I hope they can get a different director and teach the actors how to act.
I also liked Emmet and Rosalie. I found Emmet hilarious. Definitely what I thought him to be. Edward...all I can really say is that he was bad. I expected so much more from him. I still found myself rooting for him of course, but just could not stand his acting. Maybe thats why he was chosen to be Cedric Digory in Harry Potter, because they were going to just kill him off. Oh I also liked Jacob. I have always been on "Team Jacob." Anyway, there you go. My review. A little harsh, but come on...it could have been so much better.

I did read your warning comment, but I haven't seen the movie yet and won't since there are no theatres within 2 hours distance. SO....I have to say that I did a little of You tube research and agree with you just by seeing clips and behind the scenes videos on the movie. It made me totally not excited to see the movie. So now I'm even more unexcited and not sure if I'll even watch it when I get back to the states.
So cheesy. I like to think of the books as more of a romantic fantasy rather than cheesy. Had I not read the book and just watched the movie, I would definitely have skipped the book. However I actually liked the acting and really enjoyed Edward. I loved it when he would smirk in the movie because you knew he could read people's thoughts. I laughed a lot, probably mostly at parts that weren't meant to be laughed at! So many giggly screaming girls where I was too! Hilarious! I remember being like that once.
I agree that it could have been better but it actually was a low-budget film. They didn't have tons of money to make it and I actually thought a lot of the cinematography was kindof cool. But I didn't really like how Edward talked, I thought he talked funny. By the end of the movie he kind of had grown on me. I loved Emmett and Alice. (I am on Team Jacob too!! Were Jacob's teeth exceptionally white?
Team Jacob people are not quite right in the head!:) I spent the weekend explaining the difference to Lee - he agreed w/ me in the end - although I don't know if that's b/c he agreed or wanted me to just shut up already! I was glad to finally have a Twilight conversation w/ him that I didn't care!
