Yesterday, Paige had a little fever all day and I figured it was just because she is getting more teeth (2). It was just low all day long and she wasn't acting too bad. We went and played at the park and then went swimming and she was ok. Then when we put her to bed, her fever went up and was almost 103. So I let her sleep for about an hour and a half. When I went to go check on her, her body was convulsing and so I decided I should take her temp again. Well, this time it was 104.5! I immediately called the Urgent Care Center and they told me to bring her right away. On our way there, Paige threw up...the whole way there. I did not know a little girl could throw up that much and with such projectile! It was disgusting and we were both covered in it. Sorry for the details. So we were a little worried about how long we would have to wait to be seen and how nice of a facility it would be. We were seriously shocked! It was very nice inside and we only waited for maybe 20 minutes. The doctor was really nice and I told Chad that I want him to be Paige's doctor...too bad! It turns out that she has a bad ear infection in one ear and just a little in the other ear with a pretty red and swollen throat. Poor little girl! So then we stopped off to get her prescription filled and I was signing my name on the prescription list and I read the name above mine and it said "Katherine Higel (sp?)" I started laughing and said to the pharmacist, "Is this the Katherine Higel?" He just laughed and smiled at me and said nothing. I was wondering why he would not say anything and it was frustrating me because I wanted to know. So I told Chad when I got out to the car and he told me that they are not allowed to disclose any information. But, by the way the doctor reacted, I like to think it was her. Who knows!
When we got home, Paige was so tired and just wanted to sleep. It is so nice to have people around who can administer to Paige. She is doing well now, and I can tell she already feels better...Plus no fever!

There is nothing worse than sick babies...right before her birthday. I can't believe that you had a possible celebrity sighting...You'd never see that in Utah, but my friend Ashley always seems to find them in the strangest places.
That is so scary! I am glad she is alright!
Poor little bug. I'm glad she got taken care of by a nice doctor. Katherine Higel just bought a place in Oakley, she's my friends neighbor. Weird.
I love your blog - where else can you hear Peter Breinholt followed by G Love???!!!! way too funny!
I am so sorry for Paige and for you and Chad. It is no fun to have a sick child. I can't believe Paige is walking, what a doll!
