Surprise, surprise, surprise (this is a long post!)

Well,once Chad's family left, they had no clue what we were up to. Chad and I were actually going out to Utah for the last week of Chad's break. We were actually going out to take care of my sister's two girls while she went back east for a wedding. We did not want to tell Chad's family because we thought it would be fun to surprise them. We did tell Chad's sister, Rachel, so we could work out how to go about getting together.

We flew in Tuesday night and hung out with my parents (we were going to watch the girls at my parents house). Then my sister came up from Idaho on Wednesday and we got to hang out with her and the girls before she took off for Virginia. We went to the Real Salt Lake soccer game. I did not appreciate the fact that it snowed on us! We had to leave early because it was so cold, windy, and snowing. It was fun though.

Thursday, we went into Chad's mom's work to surprise her. When we walked in, she said "hi guys!....(a pause)...wait..you're not suppposed to be here!" She was so shocked to see us. It was great. Then we went to meet Chad's grandparents, dad, two sisters, and nephew for lunch. They were very surprised! It was pretty fun to see the look on everyone's face!

Friday, we took the girls to Kangaroo Zoo (A bouncy place with lots of those blow up toys). It was so fun! I enjoyed going down the slides and so did Kelsey and Morgan. Kelsey just kept saying "Again again!" Then that night we went to surprise Chad's aunt and uncle, Brad and Ranae. Chad's cousin, Sydney, knew we were coming out, so she told them that she and her husband wanted to play games and hang out however they were not really going, we were. Well, Brad got sick so we were worried we would not see them. We decided to go over there anyway just for a little bit to surprise them. When Ranae answered the door, her jaw just dropped and she stood there for awhile trying to put together why we were there. It was great!

Saturday, Chad and I took the girls to "This is the Place" park to hang out with the Ericksons. We had a great time. The girls got to go on a pony and train ride, and make bracelets. They loved it! I took Chad to the airport because he had to get back for school on Monday. That night I went to my cousin's wedding reception and got to spend time with my Grandparents and other family. It was good to see so many people!

Monday was my mom's birthday so I figured, hey why not throw another surprise in there and surprise my mom at work. So the girls and I bought her flowers and showed up at her school and took her to lunch. It was fun!

We had a great trip and I am definitely ready for some R&R!
