Last weekend Chad was able to take a break and come home for a short trip. We were thrilled to see him. I have missed him so much. The heart definitely grows fonder with separation. And, yes I realize that is super cheesy. But, seriously...being a single mother is well, hard. I cannot even explain the emotions I have had.
So we picked Chad up at the airport and per his request, headed to Cafe Rio for dinner. Saturday it was just nice to be together as a family. We went shopping, played outside, and Chad and I got to go on a date (trying to celebrate our anniversary a month later). Chad is one amazing dad! Carson screamed for about ten minutes after we dropped him off at the airport. As I was crying too, Paige said to me "Mom are you sad Daddy is gone again?" I said "yeah, a little bit!" She then said, "Well at least YOU have your mom AND dad around." WOW! So to say the least, its been rough on all of us. 4 more weeks....
And on another note...looks like we are driving across country YET AGAIN. We bought my dad's old Tahoe. This Tahoe was my grandpa's. Then when he passed away, Chad drove it for 9 months before we moved to Cali. Then my dad had it. Well my dad decided to buy a new truck and Chad jumped on it to buy it. He has always liked this Tahoe. And lets be honest, we NEED to be a two car family after 8 years with one (and it is in great condition)!!!
