We had a busy and fun holiday weekend! Friday, we got together with friends and went out to dinner and then played games afterwards! That is always fun! Then on Saturday, we had some friends over to our place to hang out and play games again.
On the Fourth, I had to teach the Relief Society lesson on the History of Temples. I think it went ok, and I am glad to have that done! Later that day, we had a bbq although we did not bbq, we all made cafe rio salads instead and they were SO good! After that, we headed over the High School for the fireworks. We were so mad at first because the parking guys told us where we could sit, however some police officers came by a while later and not so nicely told us we HAD to move. Not thrilled because we did not want to do into the stadium, we decided to go by our cars where there was a gap of grass. Well they were the BEST seats EVER. The fireworks were right about our heads! Paige and Carson absolutely loved them and of course so did Chad and I! It was a great show!
On Monday, we headed down to the LA Zoo with our friends, the Proctors. It was a warm day, but we had a great time looking at all the animals. Afterwards, we all got together for a real bbq this time!
It was a great weekend and I would love to have more of them, but that is just wishful thinking!
After church in their 4th outfits. Carson was not too thrilled
At the fireworks show
Our friend, Katie, made some fabulous eclair's that we ate while we were waiting. Chad eats like a 2 year old!
