Too close for comfort

Well, you all know that I have been letting Paige play outside because she is so much happier when she can.  I usually sit at the desk and watch her and get my emails and other such things taken care of.  The other day I turned my head and she was halfway through the bars of the rails.  Head and shoulders completely out.  I freaked, but knew I had to keep my cool so I didn't freak her out.  I just walked out quickly, and grabbed her.  She was mad because she dropped her stuffed animal down into the neighbors porch.  I was so upset!  I have complained many times about the rails being too far apart, but they have not done anything about it.  Then I watched her, and could see that she would have to really try and get through them, so I didn't think it was too big of a deal...apparently I was wrong!  The next day, Chad and I went to Home Depot and found some strong plastic mesh (I don't know how else to describe it) stuff and used a heavy duty stapler to attach it, and WA-LA, no more throwing stuff out, or falling out!  It is brilliant.  Now I have no worries whatsoever when she is out there playing!

She is like an old lady.  She just sits out there and reads!  What a funny girl.
(You can see the black mesh stuff on the railings that we put up)

So scary! Glad you kept your cool though. They like to see us freak. Good idea about the "mesh!"
