SHOUT OUT!

So I was summoned to Jury Duty in January and found out I had to report on Monday.  I was not thrilled at all!  I understand that it is our civic duty, but for a stay at home mom, to have to worry about who can watch your child, it is a little hard.  So I reported on Monday morning, and wasted all day doing nothing!  Tuesday, was much the same.  Thye interviewed 18 jurors and then sent us home again.  Today, we reported back, waited for an hour and a half before we entered the court room just to have the judge say the guy was pleading guilty and the case was dismissed.  I was SOOOOOO happy however pissed that it took 3 days to get to that point.  RIDICULOUS!  Oh well.  It had me so stressed out that I got a migraine and was throwing up this morning.  Who knows why I got so stressed.  Its just a lot to ask of others, to watch your child for an unknown amount of time.  So I am happy to say that I am jury free...at least for another year...and a whole $30 richer (I am getting a pedicure, interested girls???)!  Woo-hoo!

I just have to say that I have the greatest friends here.  This has really been one of the best places that we have lived.  It is so nice to have friends that hang out with us all of the time and really support us!  Jenika watched Paige for me so I could attend my jury duty for 2 days (not to mention feed us lunch!).  She is always so willing to take Paige anytime I need her to....the many dental appointments I have, being sick, and jury duty.  What a life saver!  Also, my other friend, Staci, was so willing to help too, and has a darling little girl that Paige loves!  Paige has been talking about her ALL night.  It is so cute.  Paige even fell asleep on her couch, which she has NEVER fallen asleep anywhere for me, but her bed, car seat, or my arms.  Staci has the touch I guess.  Thank you so much!  You girls are really so nice and I really am so thankful for your friendship.

You actually went to jury duty.... good for you. I always give the excuse that I have a child under "school age" that I care for and have one no to leave them with. It has worked everytime, three times. Is that bad? I don't think I have someone I could ask to watch both my kids all day long.
