Well I survived my first "big" earthquake! Ok I know everyone has already heard about it and it was only 5.4, but that is big to me. I have only been through 2 earthquakes before and they were 2.3 and 2.5...nothing really. This one shook me up! I was on the phone with a friend and doing Paige's hair when I thought that I was getting dizzy because the apartment started swaying. Then the floor was shaking and a picture and some other things fell down. I just grabbed Paige and said "Jenika there's an earthquake!" She did not feel it though because she was out in our parking garage and on solid ground. It was crazy feeling my apartment sway back and forth while rumbling all around me! They say this is the precursor to the REAL BIG one that is to come. Man, I don't know that I can handle much more. You really don't have time to think. It was only about 10 seconds long, and all I did was grab Paige and just stood there. Real safe! Oh well there was no harm done, just a little scary for me!

I actually hadn't heard about it. How scary! I don't know what I would do!
I know-that was pretty crazy huh? I hope the big one doesn't hit anytime soon too! It was a wake up call to me though to get more prepared.
Scary, I am afraid of these kinds of things. I'm glad you are alright.
