My Grandpa

I wanted to write a little bit about my Grandpa Warnick. It has been two years today, sice he passed away. He was such an amazing man and I always enjoyed spending time with him. He loved to take pictures, do geneology, and boy scouting. When Chad and I were engaged, he said to Chad "I have 2 questions for you....are you and Eagle Scout?" Chad said yes. My Grandpa responded with "Good" and didn't say anything else, so Chad said "Well what is the other question?" and my Grandpa said, "If you were to say no to the first one, then the second question is why the hell not?"...That is my grandpa! He was such a funny man! He loved to tease.

He served in many wonderful postions in the church and was so close with many general authorities and even the prophet and his counselors. It was so fun to hear his stories about spending time with these wonderful men. He was so dedicated. As my Grandmother (whom I have never met) was sick and in the hospital, President Kimball was also there and because of the man my Grandpa was, gave my grandmother a blessing. This came just before she passed away. My grandpa definitely needed someone to keep him in line and soon married the grandmother I know now.

Everytime I would see him, he would say to me "You are the most beautiful grand daughter I have!" Of course he probably said this to all of us, but it always made me feel good. I miss him a lot, but I know he is so happy with his loved ones!

I love grandparents...they make the world a better place. Just think...it will be so cool when he can tell you what it was like when President Hinckley came to the other side.
