best friends come to visit

I have put off posting about our amazing friends forever, mainly because it gets me all sad. It was a hard day moving, but knowing we would see them again in Utah was a huge help. The Davis' came to visit while we were staying at my parents. We got to go to Seven Peaks(SLC), go on a group date to Harry Potter, shop at the gateway, and get late night milkshakes with them. It was a total blast.
Pretty much Jenika put our friendship so well on her blog ( bjandsdavis.blogspot.com ) that I can just say ditto and switch her name for mine. It is so different living away from family and having to rely on friends to be there for you. Jenika was that. Always there for me, since day one. It was so funny how we first hung out. I love the story! She had been searching for my number to invite me over for a family home evening, but could not get it. She even went to the complex office to see if they would give it to her, and they would not. While there, some "guy" said he knew Chad Erickson and had his number at school. We had no idea who this guy was. Later on that day I was out walking with Paige around the complex and through halls. My way of getting to know the area. I had no clue Jenika and Bonnie lived where I was. I ran into Jenika carrying food over to Bonnie's. She got all excited because she had been searching all day to contact me. It was totally random and I know it was for a reason that I was led that way that day! That is where it all started!! Oh and that "guy" ended up being Josh Whiteley and he and his wife are our dear friends now as well.
I cannot say enough about the Davis family. I also want to say that all of friends there we consider family...the Whiteleys, Proctors, Parkinson's...so many more...have really been there for us. We have loved every minute of living in Cali and cannot WAIT to go back to visit. These California Ericksons are going to be Virginia Ericksons......

Seven Peaks

It poured while we were at Seven Peaks. We had to get the best shelter we could.

Josh and Natalie made a stop on their way to Montana to have lunch with us! We love them and will miss them so much and wish them luck in their new adventures as well!
