The joys of being a mother

POTTY TRAINING!
(taken from the internet, obviously not Paige)

Oh my. I have to say that I have been putting this off for quite some time. Going back and forth with, "is she ready?" Well yesterday we started and WOW! A couple of things...1)She is practically potty training herself 2) I am exhausted!!! 3) I see my daughter in a whole new light and I am not sure if I like it. Anyone else feel that way?
We are on day 2 and have only had 2 accidents TOTAL. She loves going on the toliet and gets so excited when its "yellow." I know I am going to have a horrible day very soon, but I definitely cannot give up now because she is beyond ready. We even went to music class for an hour today and no accidents. She still has to be told to go potty and loves the idea of the timer going off to go.
I am a little worried because we are going on a mini trip this weekend and I don't know how she will do. At least we will be hangin out in a cabin a lot of the time and pull ups are good for times when a bathroom is not available! So if you have any tips or just uplifting words for me to hear...send them my way! I need all the help and support I can get!

Something that helped Megan during potty training was taking her little potty with us on trips. Sometimes kids have a hard time going on a potty they aren't familiar with. Once we even used it on the side of the road since we were like 40 minutes from any bathrooms. You might be lucky about Paige doing really well. Megan was soooo ready. She never had a poopy accident and only a few pee accidents in the beginning. She also didn't need diapers at night. I think she only wet the bed a handful of times and that was fixed with limiting liquids after dinner. She had a strong bladder.
Good luck!
