...You become a domestic diva. Ok, seriously. I am constantly trying to come up with new projects so I can see what I really enjoy. I end up putting them off though and never really finishing them unless it is something I am totally jazzed about. Well, I have been reading friends blogs and seeing all the fun stuff they are making. So mainly, thanks to Kali, I decided to make my very first homemade strawberry jam and bread to go along. I got my friends, Jenika and Katie, to go along with it. We had a great time on Saturday chatting and making our goodies while the husbands were at meetings. I must say they turned out decent enough for me. I hope to improve on it for sure though. Making jam is so stinkin' easy that I am going to continue it. Chad is thrilled about that one! Last night our meal consisted of homemade potato soup, my bread, and homemade oreos. Could life get any better?
Whole wheat goodness...funky looking loaves I know, but its the taste that counts!

I just blogged about that too. It was fun. We should do that more often. Baking is so much more fun when others are around. Good suggestions. I had fun.
ps holy smokes those are giant thick slices of bread!
Way to go Brittany! Whole wheat bread! That is way harder to make than white bread! I couldn't see the picture of your jam for some reason, but I am sure it was tasty! Yes, it is way easy, and it tastes so much better, and for the most part it is a lot cheaper. It's true you can't get much better than your homemade oreo's!
Your house better be filled with home made stuff when we come!!!
