Halfway there

So we only have 2 years left of  Dental School!  Can you believe it?  It is so bittersweet to think about.  For one, it is the first place (since Chad and I have been married) that we have lived in the longest.  Second, we really like it here and the things there is to do.  And lastly, we have some really good friends here that we do not want to lose contact with.
This has been the hardest semester BY FAR for both of us!  Really, Chad more than me, but it sucked for me too.  Chad was gone most nights until midnight, pulled an all nighter, and gets up before the crack of dawn!  It is just not fun.  Today is his last day of the semester and we are so excited!  Vacations galore here we come.  We are off to Yosemite tomorrow for a few days.  Then headed to Wisconsin!  I am so excited for a get-a-way.  The sucky thing of course is that I have tonsilitis.  Yeah completely sucks.  At least I am not contagious and am on antibiotics.  I really would love to get the stupid things out!
Anyway, we look forward to the next 2 years here and hope they are as wonderful as the first have been!

Trip #20

Yes, I have been counting how many times I go to Disneyland.  This is all in one year!  I was just curious to see how many times I would go and then I had a fun little goal to go 20 times before my pass expires...which it does next week!  Anyway, it was Sydney's birthday yesterday, so Paige, myself, Jenika, and Seth, joined them for some Disneyland fun.  We had a great time, the kids were fantastic and even took naps, the weather was great, and it was nice to go on rides!!!
We even got to take a picture with Pluto and Paige and Seth did NOT freak out.  They were actually mad we had to leave them.  Go figure!  Here are the pictures of the day...
They have the whole world in their hands!  This is one of Paige's favorite things there!
Yeah for Pluto!

Seth chowin' down on what was left of the corn dog
Syd and Chad intense in Buzz Lightyear
Syd painted Minnie Mouse on Paige's toes.  She is obsessed with them.  They look messy, but that is because the flash made it look all funky!

They were so in to "Its a Small World"

Happy Birthday Chad! And Easter Festivities

We had quite the eventful weekend.  On Friday, we had a playgroup Easter Egg Hunt.  Paige caught on to the idea pretty quickly.  She loved getting as many eggs as she could and putting them in her basket.
Saturday, we went to the Westchester Park Easter party.  Paige got to participate in another egg hunt.  She loved it again and really liked that they had bracelets in some of the eggs!  Later on that day, Chad's cousin, Sydney, and her husband, Chad, drove in from Utah.  The Chads went golfing and Syd chopped all of my hair off.  That's what I get for giving her free reign!
Sunday, was Chad's 28th BIRTHDAY!  I hope he liked sharing it with a holiday this year.  He got a new razor, some Puma shoes (yes, ones just like Paige and I's...pictures to come), lots of candy, some I Tunes gift cards, money, and one more present on the way that I cannot say.
We also did another little Easter egg hung for Paige.  This time she knew what was in all of the eggs, and she just wanted to eat all of the candy in each egg as she found them.  She loved it though!
Easter dinner was great.  We had a great meal, great company, and two birthdays to celebrate.  Sydney's was the next day.  It was quite the day!
Aren't they just so cute!  Hope you had a great Birthday Chad!

Easter Egg hunt #3

She is all ready!!! minus the hair being done and tights and shoes!
I just love this picture.  She was playing in the bounce house with about 5o other kids and having a great time, despite getting trampled on many times!

Happy Birthday Chad and Sydney!!!

On my mind

I have to start with watching General Conference.  I enjoyed a lot of talks, but I also noticed that there were quite a few speakers who mentioned death.  Since being married, and then having a child, this is something I have really been afraid of, not my own, but theirs.  I am so thankful for the opportunity I have to be an eternal family and know that it will always be mine.  Conference really showed me that death is natural, and part of life and that we will be guided in our lives.
With that said, I have been thinking a lot this week about my old boss, Andy, from the Boys and Girls Club in SLC.  I found out on Wednesday that he decided to no longer live and took his life, at the age of 24.  I have always had a hard time with people who do this.  It is not something my mind can really comprehend.  I understand that their mind is obviously not in the right place, but it is so hard to think what you are going to leave behind.  A child, family, friends?  It never helps the situation to take yourself out.  Life has been pretty bad at some points but never in my life have I thought of taking myself out.  That is just not an option.  I want to LIVE.  I want to experience life with my family and friends.  I want everyone to have the best life they can.
Sorry, for this tangent, but it is something I have been thinking about since Conference really.

The Bonnie Hunt Show

My friend, Katie, got us tickets to go see "The Bonnie Hunt Show" today.  It was so much fun!  Natalie, Jenika, Katie, and I all got to go.   Because Katie has been a couple of times, they recognized her, and gave us front row seats.  It was great.  On the show was Regina King.  She was in "Ray", "Jerry Maguire", and is on the new show, "Southland".
Bonnie Hunt also surprised her with an appearance by Cuba Gooding Jr.
Then a grammy songwriter, producer, and performer, Steve Tyrell performed.  He was really good and we all got a copy of his new CD.  One really fun thing about the show is that everyone gets a hot dog and rootbeer.  How cool is that?  At the end of the show, Bonnie came and shook our hands and that was really cool.  We had such a blast!  Thanks so much Katie!!

Random fun

Ok so I finally uploaded some pictures that I have been meaning to put on here.  So, here is a whole slew (can I use that word?) of pictures for you.

She is ready for the dodger game!  I think she looks so stinkin' cute!  Too bad you can't see her hair bows...they totally match!

So funny story about these shoes.  Well the bigger ones are obviously mine.  Well Chad loves these shoes and has wanted some forever.  I have always hated them.  We found them at TJ Maxx and they were on clearance for...$3!!!  Yeah, what does that say about them? Haha.  Chad made me buy them because they are normally like over 50 bucks!  So I did.  They are ridiculously comfortable and now they are not too bad.  So, then I was at the Puma outlet and found some in Paige size for only $9.  We are twinners!  We are still looking for some for Chad.  How funny are we?

A few girls in my ward do a child swap where one of us watches all four kids, and the other moms get 2 hours to themselves.  It is fabulous.  This is what we did at my place.  Bubbles are always a hit!  Then I put Paige and Seth to work, sweeping and mopping my floor.  They got them out all by themselves and thought they were such big helpers!

Now you may think these pictures are odd, but there of course a story behind them too.  Paige arranged all three strollers by herself.  How funny.   Now normally Paige is Miss Destructo.  She likes to crash things and wreck everything.  The picture below is of a tower she built ALL by herself.  Every time we try to build a tower, I get like 3 high before she gets too anxious and destroys it.  This is big in my book! 7 high and all by herself.  Once I took a picture she destroyed it and laughed hysterically!
My family painted these blocks.  I put the letters on the smaller ones.  How creative are we?
One more thing.  I need a consensus here.  Paige's bangs are so long because I thought I wanted her to grow them out.  Should I?  Or should I cut them?

We FINALLY got our military ID's.  It took us forever because of the guy who recruited us, retired, and the new guy thought we had them and yada yada yada.  So we went to the LA Air Force Base yesterday and got them.  It took forever, but totally worth it.  There are so many benefits to having the ID.  We get to shop at the BX, Commissary, get cheap gas, free medical supplies and medicine, 2 free tickets to Sea World once a year, and the discounts to many places.  The military really does try to treat their soldiers well.  It is nice.
